Oral dissolving film is a new type of solid rapid-release preparation for oral mucosal absorption. It is a film-like preparation made by processing raw materials and suitable film-forming materials (mostly polymers). Its appearance is similar to a thin “film”, the size of a stamp, and the drug ingredients are evenly distributed in the soluble matrix. The patient puts the oral dissolving film on the oral mucosa or under the tongue. The user can take it without drinking water. It can dissolve quickly on the tongue and swallow it with normal swallowing movements, thereby achieving the rapid release of one or more active ingredients of the drug.
